I didn't get some, but it is a cultural thing. However, most of it really confirms I was born in '83. Funny, funny.

I wouldn't really say I rember the 80's at all but I do remeber some of the stuff you listed. Me and my sister both had hypercolor shirts.

WOW, looking back at the things you did in the 80's is harsh, how could this stuff ever have been cool? Especially ALF, aka Gordon Shumway, Phalus Face. Kinda like the ugly person you thought was decent looking at the time, but look back and flashbacks of bangs and Jordache hit one's brain like icepicks. Man, I would feel like a dumbass, but it gives me comfort that the whole world at that time had God-awful taste. Taste so bad it seemed good because then people were repenting for some of the disco-shit. I see now we were all just victims of the massive onslaught of advertising and media hype in the 80's. Sometimes I'm suprised any of us survived, but we came away with some things that better us today. We now have some tangible idea of things that suck without a doubt, natural constants of lameness now on the books, molding our cultural future, hopefully never to be implemented again. Now people with mullets are modern day leppers, shartruce is only for fishing lures, and MC hammer cant hold a job. It all has changed, thankfully, only Gary Coleman remains the same.

The scary thing is that I recently have discussed several of your "finer" points as still being "real." Last night I was considering buying a Care Bear's puzzle to put to together. Sad, disturbing and kinda cute at 24, don't you think? You can never escape being a child or the 80s.
