Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. Hate multiplies hate, violence multiplies violence, and toughness multiplies toughness in a descending spiral of destruction.... The chain reaction of evil -- hate begetting hate, wars producing more wars -- must be broken, or we shall be plunged into the dark abyss of annihilation. -- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
In light of this quote... a link from amber's web page:
Come on, guys..... can we ban together and vote out stupid people? I'm on a crusade. "Commissioner McGill votes to ban stupidity". Well, how in the hell am I going to do that, you ask? Well, I don't honestly know, because to tell you the truth.... all stupid people look exactly like the smart ones. Just like most gay people look just like the straight ones. If we're gonna make this much of an effort to ban gay people from our counties... why don't we just go the extra mile and declare Rhea County the Insensitive Hypocritical Redneck Christian capital of the world?
That's all I have to say about that.
I hate stupid people just as much as the next person, but I do think the whole "gay" situation is a bit tricky. I just wonder if you start allowing gay marriages, then wouldn't you also start having to allow for other forms of marriage too? Then where would you draw the line? Would polygamy become legal as well? Then again...having about 5 different wives might not be so bad. Haha..jk

This article, if everyone read it, is about the rhea county commissioner wanting gays out of the community completely. The way I see it, not far from now we'll be hearding gay people into concentration camps and burning them alive. Whether homosexuality is correct or not, who are you to say where they can and can't live?
